you can claim the tax back! Me and my wife spent nearly $1000 dollars in the best designer shops like Gucci and YSL and we got $150 back!

We just had to get a stamp at the airport on the way home but we used this company: www.premiertaxfree.it (you can change the language to english)and they did everything for us.

Italy rocks too man, it's awesome. So many beautiful places in such a small country. I wanna go back already.

A lot of countries have this facility of giving tax back to foreigners. It is the same with Singapore. Italy is a great place to buy decently cut and made stuff, not just from the designers but from corner shops and small outlets and boutiques. My friend from Milan swears by them and says that sometimes she finds stuff that look designer at absolutely non-designer prices!
