Default dress for an italian wedding

My cousin who lives in Rome is getting married to an Italian this summer. They're going to have the wedding in Italy, and then another reception for his side of the family in Albania. I wanted to know if floor-length dresses are appropriate for a wedding in Rome? The dress is by a Danish designer; simple but really pretty.

Thanks!

I have loved watching weddings in Italy as we traveled. We would stand and watch the arrival of guest and the then bride who walked tothe church on her father's arm with other family members behind her. All the weddings were in the afternoon and the women were dressed in dresses made from elegant fabric but none were long. Simple and pretty is always appropriate though! Is the wedding in the evening? Why not ask you cousin?

I agree with suz123nj, ask the bride. The dress code depends more on the family/type of wedding than on the country.

and yes, we need pictures here.

Have fun at the wedding, formal or casual I'm sure it will be beautiful!!!
