I totaly agree that there are many useful old threads, and I would really like to be able to view them in the future especialy villa's threads as they help greatly in learning Italian.

I did some research in the past 2 / 3 days - I also read a good article here The Community Architect ? Online community theory, strategy, platform reviews and development about ning ( that would be the new platform )- Pratically the new platform would have better community features like facebook but this old forum is a much better forum -

On this thread also people seem to want to switch from Ning to vbulletin system - Importing a Ning community? - vBulletin Community Forum

I am oriented now to wait till the new vbulletin 4.0 will be out to decide. That would be in the fall of 2009 by the way.

Just read the "ownership of data" rights for "ning". If you go that direction please delete all my data beforehand.

Yes Mark and Paolo, this further read makes me even more skeptical about it.

PS: who still didn't please vote in the poll so to see a better scheme of what we want.

I love it. It is very much like face book. It is very easy to find your way around also.

Paulo, I was just curious if the chat box in the new site will allow you to see who is online like facebook does? Will we be able to send instant messeges to a specific person? I think I will like the new site much better. : )
