If advertisements are allowed, they should be paid for and not be in the forum itself. That's my two cents.

I just want to make sure after recieving that one PM.
I like Mark's suggestion of seeing how its different around the world in introduction forum.

I like Joe's idea, it can be useful, especially in those cases in which you can't do it alone.
Deleting a spam thread we can do it without consulting anyone, but when some thread degenerates in flame or politics war the decision must be taken together (if the BigBossPaolo isn't here)

I agree with Joe too.
I think the "Off Topic", "Controvertial Issues" and non-Italian news should be at the bottom of the page (possibly the chat too), so that new visitors see only Italian related issues when they first visit, as it is presumably what they were searching for.

It gives the page a better flow.

My laptop is set up to view Internet Explorer at 100% size, yet my.lifeinitaly.com overruns, leaving a slidebar for the width on the page (obviously for the length too, but that's normal) - is it my settings, or the sites that are wrong?

How big is the gap for you?

It's not so bad when it's on the RHS, but with some posts the LHS is cut off, losing some of the text - annoying!

I'm only suggesting this for future members, but wouldn't it be a good idea to either completely get rid of the off topic forum and the news forum or put them on the very bottom if everyone keeps complaining about people going off topic?
It is driving me crazy and I'm now choosing to leave because of it.

I agree and so do a few other members. It's very hard to take criticism online as you get no sense of how it's meant to come across (no voice internation, no facial expressions etc) - wait and see what the new site brings!
