Default NEW WEBSITE - What happened

yesterday we tried to move the main website ( www.lifeinitaly.com ) to a new Linux server - The new website is using a CMS which will make much easier to handle articles and so on. The problem is that the CMS is basically a database that uses to create a page a lot of resources. When we moved Lifeinitaly to the Linux server the traffic crashed the server so we had to back track all we had done.
We will try now to move to a much faster server and try again !
Sorry for any invenience
Paolo

I am sticking with Linux ! The problem was that the Windows server was running a plain html website. The Linux server a database driven : Only to open the home page for example Drupal runs 100+ MYSQL queries. The main website has 15,000 to 20,000 visitors in a day so the concurrent users load could be quite high.

Well The new website is now up !!!
It is still a work in progress and it will not be finish for a month or so - We are still changing in a month to a more powerful server but this seems to be working now ( We had a configuration issue at first )
m1ke_l All the website runs on Linux now !
Now forum members will be able to comment on both the news and any article on the website - This will give more interaction !
