Default New website : We need suggestions

As you might know I am busy re-designing Life in Italy. One of the main feature I would like is a better integration of the Forum ( this section ) with the main website http://lifeinitaly.com
New features should be:
- Opportunity for forum member to comment on all the news and articles of the main website - Editors in charge of each section ( food / fashion / beauty / tourism / Italian language ) - Easy addition of new articles - Articles ratings and easy editing.
- I also want to add a section in Italiano -

If anybody has any suggestion please email me personally or answer this thread -

Ciao Paolo,

- I certainly don't need my photo attached to each individual blog, and often, even in the replies. QuickReply I thought would just show my response.

- I have a hard time seeing / understanding what is the initial thread in the forums

also, the thread should always remain BY SO-AND-SO instead of the last person posting. Just so we all know. Besides, who cares who posted last?

my due centesimi.

Burntbythetuscansun, there is always the name of the person who started the thread, right under the name of the thread.
Last person posting is only in the "Last Post" column, I just don't see the problem.

Zidanie, You are correct that the originator of the thread always is shown IF you are looking under "New Posts" - however, if you are simply using the general "Italian Online Community - Forum" then the only name shown is that of the last person to post.

With my "sheep" and some of the other avitars on display, some of us do need to see yours, along with some of the other members photos, to remember that the world is still full of beauty

As for the second point, I agree. It is also difficult if the title is changed - why not keep the heading for every thread, and each reply, the same?

I would like to see a quick way to get back to the main page (the one with the news headlines) from the forum page.

Another thing I would love to see is a quicker way to get to a specific member's profile.

I see Jeanegina, I didn't know as the better way to navigate through the forum is using New Posts, for me.

I don't know what you mean by "quicker" ways to get to member profiles and home, for the first it takes two clicks, and only one for the latter.

Another thing, though maybe this is not the right place: Did you add a 60 seconds compulsory waiting between posting twice? Why?
