Default How hot are you?

It's 35C here near Pescia in Tuscany, and after a long lunch with friends I am about to laze in the shade and watch lizards running up the walls of the house whilst my cats leap to try and catch them, then think better of it in the heat and curl up in the shade. I never thought I could adapt to this kind of heat, but I am learning to sink into it and let it take over. This is life as I never allowed it to be in the old days of England and control, and things to do. How are your plans for cutting loose? Who has made it, who is on the way, who is dreaming of the day?

Finally a good thread title ! I am not very hot ms Talylor. I am in Washington DC and this year we had the best weather ever. Normally here it would be miserably hot and humid but this year it was about 25 degrees during the day most of the summer so far -
I am headed to Italy in 3 days and all might change however I am lucky enought since my house is on lake Bolsena and when it is too hot I head for the water. In the evening however in Bolsena it is always very nice - Not like in DC where it could be too hot and humid to call dining outside 'al fresco'

You and the bike and the boy look pretty cool, Paolo! Enjoy Lake Bolsena, sounds perfect for summer and plenty of al fresco.

Well Liz ... I choosed the image after discarding a million of them ..haha -
It was taken 3 years ago just before we rode together to the Rolling Thunder event here in dc -

Anyway isn't Pescia on the way to Abetone ? It should be pretty cool up there -

That's right, Paolo, I'm on the way to Abetone, but only about 2000 feet up, in the foothills, so probably not as cool as up at the top.
What is the rolling thunder event? Sounds fun.

I'm at pre-death level of heat, if the temperature rises another degree I'll have to wave you goodbye.
I'm very sensitive to heat, and it ain't a good thing if you live in Naples :| Only in December I do find some relief.

Naples is a hellmouth, the equation [Southern Italy + Sea + Big City + Thousands of cars] is powerful and nasty.
At Piazza Garibaldi, 2PM, you can often see camels agonizing.

Sounds tough, Zidanie,

though I love the image of camels agonising! Anything cool nearby to take your mind off it? A trip to Capri by boat maybe?
Why not move to the mountains, it is really cold in winter, you would love it!

Unfortunately until 24 July I'm very busy with exams, the time I don't spend studying I spend it having showers
After that I'll try to spend all free time at sea/pool, I definitely need water
