che voce!!! e che personaggio!!! sono molto impressionata.

Did you notice how that incredible voice changes her whole appearance.

Anybody notice the reaction of the audience as she came onto the stage? One jury member politely said "they were sceptical". There's a big change in attitude coming and it's long overdue. Never judge a book by it's cover.

I literaly pursed into tears when I heard her singing!! I have no clue why ?

I have to admit, I listed to her performance countless number of times. I'm really impressed but not only with her voice, but also with her personality and life story. I couldn't stop thinking about her and other people who have similar stories. Here are my thoughts...

What does Susan Boyle have in common with Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonnalds? Both tried various unsuccessful venues before hitting major success rather late in their lives. Both Susan and Ray found their true passions and in spite of challenges and lack of support pursued them. Both chose to explore rather non-traditional venues for their respective surroundings and their own past experiences.

Susan's stunning performance was not only beautiful from musical point of view. Her life story and her road to the stage in Glasgow are very inspiring. She is a modest and simple person that doesn't portray typical star qualities. Neither is she at the age when people are usually being discovered. She did not arrive to Glasgow to become a stare. She came there to realize her life-lasting dream. She succeeded in spite of unfavorable personal factors and world wide economic conditions.

A couple of years ago Paul Potts performance. He too did not have a 'top notch' appearance with one front teeth broken ... he ended up winning the Britain got talent show singing opera and performing in front of the queen.

I wonder if the rules in the UK are different and how comes in the USA mostly young - good - looking people tend to advance.

Just kidding......i don't know...do you think that's really true?? last time America's Got Talent was on, there were some old, ugly people in the running!..LOLOL..the guy who won was really obese, but in his early 30's -- a wonderful tenor. You should check it out on YouTube...he is much better than Paul Potts (who by the way, HAD sung in some operas before in opera programs for singers in Italy) - he was NOT the neophyte he presented himself as! BTW, I think you know, Paolo already, that I am a conservatory-graduated operatic soprano myself, so I have the training to tell which of those 2 has the edge...and believe me, the America's Got Talent tenor DOES
