Thumbs up Women of Inspiration

Women of Inspiration

Here is a brilliant young woman named Nicole, a student scientist who‘s invention will not only revolutionize how we make electricity but will make the big capitalist companies in the electrical industry fall to there knees. Nicole Kuepper, a 23-year-old PhD student from UNSW's School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering, has developed photovoltaic (solar) technology involving a simple inkjet printing process...

Check it out Brilliant!

Wow very impressive and it is about time as since the scientific discoveries made by Sofia Kovalevsky (math) and Maria Sclodovska-Kuiri there were no great discoveries that shoock the world made by women! I'm happy to see it is changing.

Yes it’s Brilliant

It’s an honor to see women with beauty and brains. This post was to not only make others see how women scientists are impacting today’s world but also to inform home owners to be patient when purchasing today’s solar panels.

Nicole’s invention will one day make these large expensive solar panels a product of the past. Her ultra thin micro solar cells manufactured on a small surface using ink jet printers will be able to produce much more electrical power. This surface area could be a flexible material semi conductor that can directly produce electricity from the sun’s solar energy to run all the power you will require for your home. This solar cell material can be produced and installed on regular roof tops at a minimum cost in comparison to what is selling in the market place today.

The world is about to change dramatically with alternative energies!

My question is:
What impact will this new invention of Ultra thin solar cells have on the global electrical capitalist companies privately owned, operated or controlled by government?

While going to elementary school always thought le ragazze were brighter than il ragazzi.

My favorite teacher at the Universita di Perugia devoted a whole class on women's rights. Ha detto
there has been just as many women genious as men.(anzi piu)Said it was really Einstein's wife that
developed the theory of relativity and that Bethroven's sister era piu inteligente che lui. Went on
with examples like these and then talked about how la donna Franca Viola changed
Italian law the way no man or the Catholic church ever could have.

Villa its interesting how some of these inventions were inspired by wives or women.
I remember a friend from High School who was a mechanic in the car business. His wife inspired him to one day come up with an invention to eliminate wearing sun glasses when driving your vehicle. He designed the visor sun blocker in your car with the same material used in making sun glasses. The see thru design prevented your vision from being blocked while driving but at the same time kept the sun from blurring your vision. He went to the big three auto makers in North America with his patent design (invention) and they refused to sign a disclosure agreement and accept his invention. First, they tried to steel his creation and after spending so much money with patent lawyers. At the end, the product was never introduced or produced in the auto industry. They gave him some ridiculous excuse that it was a safety issue and manufacturing problem to produce on there assembly lines...something to that effect!

I thought it was a great invention that could save many lives while driving your car on a sunny day.

Molto interessante Frank.

At any rate that favorite teach of mine in Perugia quoted Sor Juanes de la Cruz.(1648-1695)

Hombres necios que acusáis
a la mujer sin razón,
sin ver que sois la ocasión
de lo mismo que culpáis:

Silly, you men-so very adept
at wrongly faulting womankind,
not seeing you're alone to blame
for faults you plant in woman's mind.

After you've won by urgent plea
the right to tarnish her good name,
you still expect her to behave--
you, that coaxed her into shame.

You batter her resistance down
and then, all righteousness, proclaim
that feminine frivolity,
not your persistence, is to blame.

Villa now that’s deep with convictions.

Ok villa... here is a story of conviction while getting back to women of inspiration in Science.
“La Donna in Cielo”
I sat next to a girl in my science class who was very beautiful...una bella ragazza ... throughout the whole year she had barely said a word to me. “pochissime parole” She was not only beautiful but also very intelligent. Ma .. Lei mi ha fatto arrabbiare ..She ticked me off because I tried to copy one of her answers during an exam but she covered her test paper. Scusami!
The next day in science class we were about to dissect mice. So without the professor knowing, I decided for some crazy reason “revenge” to go into class early, take the mice and stick it into all the science books. These science books are distributed to the students which were always kept in the back of the room, well... guess who volunteered to hand out the science books...yes the devil in me volunteered. Wow, you had never seen so many girls hit the ceiling “La donna in cielo” when they opened up there science books. Maybe, I am to blame there is not enough women scientist out there…
