Default H1n1

Has anybody here had any experiences with the swine flu yet? I work in a school and hundreds of kids have been sent home with the virus. Does anybody know what some of the symptoms are? I have heard differing opinions in regards to that. Some say that the symptoms are the same as the regular flu while others say it is much worse. I don't think I believe in the vaccine. It's just too risky to inject yourself with the virus and hope that your immune system will destroy it.

Ciao Giacomo, I have a friend who is a teacher in the Northwest. Her three year old son was diagnosed with H1n1 and so has a large population of the school that she teaches at. She stated that 3 out of 4 flu's being reported are tested as swine flu and that there is not much concern about it. So far symptoms have been sinus congestion, fevers as high as 103 in children (not sure about adults) a lingering cough for about two weeks. Her son was ill for about 5 days ? I agree about flu shot's - not getting them. The reports on production seems a bit off to me, except in some cases of a lowered immune system I would not recommend them until we get some serious guarantees of safety. Until now with actual cases seen it has been hard to find facts on the symptoms which I thought was off also. (any more recipes to share ? By the way can't you find an ugly picture of yourself ? This one is molto bene and distracting!)

Awww thanks!

I think at this point all we can do is hope for the best and expect the worst. Here in Rhode Island we heard about a 12 year old who may have died of H1N1...the authorities are doing an autopsy to investigate. I think though that the media is hyping things up quite a bit! Still, I don't want to be unprepared. I think I will stock up on bottled water and broth lol I will add some recipes soon. I'm not sure what I want to try next!

honestly I'm not realy anxious or anything, sure we should take care but I don't like how the media is causing people to obsess about it, I mean when it's your time there is nothing you can do to stop it, don't get me wrong I'm NOT at all saying that we should do nothing and wait for the disease to find us, I think we should take protective measures and pay sooo little attention to all those ads and news about new cases and stuff that aren't helping alot except with causing people to panic they realy should change their advertising company, but listening to the info they say though is necessary unfortunately
and as for the symptoms I believe they are the same as regular flu but in H1N1 the coughs are dry with no mucus unlike in the regular one, but don't freak out when you have dry coughs it's not necessarily swine flu :O also we were told at college that our age criteria isn't at risk and even our immune system can kill the virus, it's important to drink anise as the tamiflu is a derivative from it, also you can wear the N95 mask (reminds me of the nokia series ) if you are worried about getting infected, you can use it only until it gets wet and humid, all those other masks like the ones the surgeons wear can actually be worse than not wearing one at all.
"these are doctor's order" next time I'm gonna charge you for my medical advices
