Default Italian soccer School in U.S.

Hey Gang,

What are your thoughts about bringing high level Italian soccer coaches here to start a school? The school would be for kids and coaches.
Wanted to get some input from the group...

Just curious...

I think it's a great idea...soccer is so popular in the world and people in the USA should be making an effort to learn the game.

My thought was always to promote the Italian game when I started the website Serie A Live.com. I felt the Italian game did not get it's due here in the U.S.?
I know if I was going to send my kids to a clinic I would love to have Italian coaches teaching them, right?

We Americans aren't always quick to adapt to new things.

Really the problem is that the soccer media is controlled by the UK. They will only promote the EPL and talk down to the Serie A. They have an agenda and promoting the Serie A is not on the list. I have tried to explain this to journalists in Italy and they agree. They (Italian Media)need to make more of an effort to promote Calcio here. It's all about marketing at the end of the day. From what I have seen they are turning things in the right direction...

well good. The other problem is that you have to pay in order to see many of the matches. Cable TV is expensive here.

Yes television is another story in itself because cable companies are not making it cheap. There is a big following for Italian soccer it's just fragmented so it's my job to bring everyone together...ha!
Giacomo you should us on Facebook as well..Actually I would invite all Serie A fans on this forum to join us! Serie A Live.com group is a blast...A great group of fans....

This would be fantastic, I think. Location is key, but it's a wonderful idea.
