45 year old Gokor Chivichyan a friend of mine just took first place at the judo nationals. Gokor was born in the then
Russian Armenia. He started training in Russian SAMBO when he was only 5 years. He was a European Judo champion at 16.
He then came to the U.S. and started training with the great Gene LeBell.
A few year back he went to Russia and beat all their best guys.
I've trained with Gokor over the years and have learned a lot from him and Gene LeBell.
Gokor's tours Europe frequentemente and often goes to Italy to do seminars.
