Default Italian Cars and the Average Girl

Dan,

You're making it very difficult to walk outside and get into my Subaru Legacy... !

Italian cars are so sexy.
In fact, I once had a friend who likened Harley Davidson motorcycles to women's bodies, and said that the reason men liked Harley's so much was a subconsious attraction as a result of their shape.

I think Italian cars are like that as well... only I think they work the other way, too, because they're not only gorgeous and sleek and curvy, they're also so strong and powerful. Like men.

Are those things totally sexist to say????

Well it all depends on which angle you're looking at it from, literally and figuratively.

I liken Italian cars to Italian women for their lines. Sure they are fast and powerful cars, but who isn't to say thats attractive in women as much as it is in men?

And what about the sterotypical "chick car"? They don't look very powerful (thinking specifically about VW Cabrio and Beetles), but women love them.

Interesting point you bring up though. Porsche has a tendency to make me think of women just as much as any Italian car can.

Check this out!
This cars are hand made and completely custom made.
It takes 6 to 9 months to make one and they make 15 to 20 cars per year!

Ah yes, the Pagiani Zonda, comes in many flavors now.

The C12 was first, debuted at Pebble Beach back in 1999, I remember when I first saw that car, and the exhaust design, and I was blown away.

The faster C12-S, then the C12-S Roadster, then the C12-S Monza that is now FIA GT approved, and my new favorite:

The C12-F and C12-F Roadster, which comes in full carbon fiber. And I mean that when I say it:

Named after Juan Manuel Fangio, who helped make this car a possibility for Pagani. Carbon Fiber isn't exactly an easy or cheap material to work with, but well worth the reward, and to make a car completely out of Carbon Fiber (CF for short), is a masterpiece. Only 25 were made, and they will never be made again.

We have a small Pagani page on lifeinitaly under the car section, check it out, definitely one of my favorite supercars sinces its debut.

The Iso Grifo.

My theme now is Italian cars and companies that did not stand the test of time, and are out of business now. Bizzarrini actually bought out ISO, and under their contract, the ISO name was not to be used.

DeTomaso is next...
