News about the hot hatchback taking the world by storm and its two new versions!
The new Fiat 500 Abarth model, and an environmentally friendly version called the Aria, will debut at Geneva's auto show coming up in the next few weeks.
The Abarth has a 135-hp, 1.4-liter turbo four, with larger flares and all the fun stuff that make a great handling road car. The Aria concept will show how Fiat is taking great strides towards a cleaner car and car company for the future.
This concepte uses Fiat's 1.3-liter 16v Multijet diesel, a particulate filter that also has a robotic Dualogic gearbox with special start-and-stop technology that reduces fuel economy by 10 percent from city driving, and reduces carbon emissions down to 98g/km.
The 500 Aria also uses many recycled materials that are implemented in the interior, auxilary systems that use less power, lightweight parts and components, and Pirelli tires that have a low drag coefficient, all helping you get better gas mileage. There are no visible differences, aside from an interesting paint scheme.
You can also see the noticeable flares used with the Abarth to give it that wider track for better handling! Looks like a car that is great fun, and will be a collectors item in no time based on its proud racing history!
Fiat turns it up again! Can't wait to see what these guys do when they come to America!
