My car is already ridicolous now, I imagine that when I'll be old and see old pictures of her I'll laugh very hard.

When I married and moved into a house, we didn't have a car that we could travel with friends in - we had two small cars. So we decided to sell my car. I sold it to my youngest brother (the one in the photo) because I couldn't bear to have a stranger driving it. My brother crashed it and totalled it within a couple of months. Luckily he was not hurt but the car sat sadly in his driveway for years afterwards. It broke my heart!!!

Zidanie, Your car is not ridiculous - it looks nice - a bright red too! My son has been completely re-building a 1985 VW Sirocco for the last 4 or more years. He took it down to the bare skeleton of metal and did all kinds of welding and re-configuring. He bought many many parts for it. He upholstered the interior in suede leather (Dashboard and overhead. He is planning on showing it on Sep. 27 and 28 in Ocean City, Maryland in a huge VW annual show. He sent me a video yesterday of him actually starting the engine. It finally lives!!! I can hear his wife squealing with delight in the background. I hope he will win some recognition for all of his hard work at the show.
