Default Alfa Romeo Duetto to return

An absolute iconic motorcar from Alfa Romeo is gearing up to make a comeback not only for Alfa sales but also for the United States market!

2008 marks the return of Alfa Romeo in the USA since the 1980's and will debut with the 8C Competizione, a gorgeous car in so many ways. But what has people buzzing now is the rumors of a reincarnation of the 1966 Alfa Romeo Duetto that Pinifarina designed and created will become reality in 2009 or 2010.

Whats more, it will be one of the cars to bring back Alfa to greatness in the US again. With Fiat doing very well and Alfa Romeo's actually being reliable nowadays (to a degree), I can't wait to see it here in the states. It has been one of my dream cars for many years now, and this news brought a smile to my face.

Hi Dan,

Alfa has been promising a return to the States for 12 years that I can remember. We can only hope especially in light of the awesome designs coming out of Alfa these days (always actually). I bought a Milano in 1987 the first in N. Carolina at that time. I still have it in my garage all restored and original with only 80k miles. The joy of driving that car is unbelievable. I showed up to work everyday with a huge smile on my face and adrenaline pumping. Forza Alfa!

Its great to finally know that they are officially coming to the US by the end of this year into next year! I drove an Alfa Romeo 156 before they stopped bringing Alfa's here, and it was pretty fun!

I only hope they bring more compact, less expensive models over so that I can actually afford one!

Here are more pictures of the round-tail...

And another artist rendering of the new one...

I love this car! Its a shame that the original Duetto is too expensive for my budget!
