Default Discount for Americans at Harry's Bar in Venice
by bubbles 04-09-2008, 07:36 AM

I read an interesting article about Harry's Bar in Venice, where they will give 20% discount at the restaurant for all food bills. The best part is they will judge by accent, and will still give a discount if they are mistaken.

Only thing I don't know is whether it is presumptuous of them to discount for the weak dollar or a gracious gesture?

I think just it shows how much the US$ is needed here - no mention of the UK£, so I guess my house in England is still worth something (or my money isn't wanted over here)
