Ciao Teresa

Most of the villas I have are for sale and the rentals are seasonal but this is a private villa rental ad and the monthly rent price is negotiable http://www.subito.it/appartamento-al...za-4648240.htm located near my hometown. The area is fantastic and the property is located in Amantea a charming sea port town just mins south of the major city of Cosenza and Paola.

Hi, you dont specify where you wanted to stay?
Italy is a big place and the quality and prices vary enormously. You can get jobs (for example on private estates) where board and lodging is included. Depends on yours skills and experience and what you can offer them of course.

Default Ten good reasons to buy in Italy

Ten good reasons to buy in Italy
________________________________________

From Roman history, Renaissance art and modern romance through to Calabria’s white sand beaches, wild mountains and delicious food to die for, it would be difficult to find ten good reasons not to buy in Italy. Here’s why you should be tempted:
1. Blissful bargains: Italy need not be expensive. Act quickly and you could snap up property coming onto the market in the idyllic and extremely affordable Calabria.
2. North, South, East, and West: Italy offers something for everyone with enough variety to entertain you on a short trip, or for the rest of your life.
3. Southern sunshine: In search of the place in the sun? You won’t head far wrong with Southern Italy for a perfect climate with year-round rays.
4. Bel Paese: The “Beautiful Country” as Italians call it is overflowing with natural beauty; lemon trees, olive groves, craggy cliffs and some of the best beaches in the world.
5. Italian spirit: Passionate, warm and friendly with one of the most musical languages to listen to, the Italian people are one of the country’s biggest assets.
6. A stone’s throw: You can fly to Italy, even its Southern most tip, from many UK airports in under three hours. It’s incredibly close to home.
7. The fabulous food: Do we really need to mention the food? Authentic Italian food has to be tasted to be believed with every town bursting with excellent restaurants.
8. Living it up: Italy does the ‘good life’ better than anyone, for an improved quality of life you couldn’t pick a better place.
9. Culture vulture: From food to football to fashion, from the Roman Empire to the Renaissance, Italian culture should satisfy even the most hard-to-please visitor.
10. Dip your toe: Considered buying a holiday let? A place in Italy is a particularly low risk way to dip your toes into property investment.

What Next? Make arrangements for a site inspection tour to Italy.

Ciao Joe -

My husband and I both have marketing and pr backgrounds, but are also master gardeners...would those be skills of interest to estate owners?

Thx -
Jane

You might want to publicize you offer on one of the house sitters sites (e.g., Housecarers.com .). Maybe you will have a run of good luck...

Hello QVDan,

We're a Dutch couple (both 36) and looking for an internship or a job in the Marches. Where do we find the jobs at private estates as you mentioned above? Or do you know any such private estates offering these jobs?

Thanks,
Caspar
