Default Italian sexiest actresses

Only Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren are very well known abroad but there's a new generation of talented and extremely beautiful actresses in Italy that deserve attention.
CATERINA MURINO is one of them, she a excellent actress and a brethtaking beautiful woman.

In my mind (and heart), nobody beats Monica Belluci....smart, sexy, sophisticated, and she can actually act!

Maybe too old for some, but to me, perfetto!

Sorry i can't find a better video to prove it:

It's hard to argue with you Max on this one at least.

Too bad the U.S. movie industry and U.S. public did not pick up on Monica Belluci like they did with Sophia and Gina. I really like both of them. I guess it could still happen. We need another Italian attress like a Sophia Loren or a Gina Lollobrigida.

A proposito. That's my favorite song by Eros Ramazzotti.
Can you name a better song by him? That's a retorical question but you can answer it just the same.

Monica Belluci reminds me a little of Bridgette Bardot(bar-DOE) Brigitte Bardot is a French actress, former fashion model, singer and animal welfare/rights activist. In 2007 she was named among Empire's 100 Sexiest Film Stars

I haven't heard of Caterina Murino. I looked at the video and she's pretty. Is she also a good actor? What are some movies she plays in?

I found both Sofia Loren and Monica Bellucci very attractive. I envy their looks. If I cold look like anyone in in the world I would choose between those two and Selma Hayek. Yes, I know Selma isn't Italian, but she fits the Italian look. Well at least in my opinion.

I've seen a few of Monica Bellucci's film. I've only seen one Italian film of her's though. The rest were her French films. She's a really good actress.

I also like Bridgette Bardot. I actually didn't know who she was until I moved to Holland. My husband told me about her because she donated all her money to animal charities after she found out what happens to animals in order to make fur that she used to wear. I like that she did that.

I so wish I could have a body similar to Monica Bellucci's or Sofia Loren's.

Melissa, Nice of you to mention Selma Hayek since I have a lot of Mexican family members. Actually she does sort
of have an indirect realation with Italy if you know your Italian history. Besides this I know many Mexicans, Cubans
and other Hispanics that could pass for Italian and many Italians that could pass for Hispanic. If you study World
history you can see why. Spain was a Roman colony for 640 years for one thing and then the Greeks had there colonies
in Spain as they did in Italy along with a lot of other histoical facts conneting Italy and Spain. Even more so than
the connection between Italy and France although there is a connection there too.

Interestingly enough here in California we have a lot of pretty girls of Mexican decent that look a lot like Selma.

Hayek was born in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, the daughter of Diana Jiménez, an opera singer and talent
scout, and Sami Hayek, an oil company executive. Hayek's father is of Lebanese descent while her
mother is of Spanish descent.
Her first given name, Salma, is Arabic for "peaceful" or "calm". Raised
in a wealthy, devoutly Catholic family, she was sent to the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau, Louisiana,
at the age of twelve. While there, she was diagnosed with dyslexia. She was also an accomplished gymnast aspiring
to compete in the Olympics, but her father prevented her from being recruited by the Mexican national team. The
religious sisters running the Academy ejected Hayek, citing behavioral problems, so she returned to Mexico. She was
later sent to live with her aunt in Houston, Texas where she stayed until she was 17 years old. She attended college
in Mexico City, where she studied International Relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana. To the surprise of her
family, she dropped out to pursue a career as an actress.

I noticed also that you did not mention Gina Lollobrigida. Did you forget her, not care for her or are you just not familiar with her?

I'm not familiar with Gina Lollobrigida. I know Max said she is known in America like Sofia Loren is, so I'm not so sure why I don't know her. For some reason the video that you posted isn't loading so well, so I'll have to look her up.

I guess you could say that Latinos and Italians are almost the same in history since Spain was part of the Roman Empire.

I like Asia Argento, but I don't think she's a strong actress. I do LOVE Dario Argento movies. My husband finds Asia Argento very sexy because she has more of the dark look going on, if that makes any sense.

Johansson was born in New York City. Her father, Karsten Johansson, is a Danish-born architect,
and her paternal grandfather, Ejner Johansson, was a screenwriter and director. Her mother, Melanie
Sloan, a producer, comes from an Ashkenazi Jewish family from the Bronx.
Johansson's parents met in Denmark, where her mother lived with Johansson's maternal grandmother,
Dorothy, a former bookkeeper and schoolteacher.[7] Johansson has an older sister, Vanessa, who is
also an actress; an older brother, Adrian; a twin brother, Hunter, also an actor;
and a half-brother, Christian, from her father's re-marriage.

Johansson grew up in a household with "little money" with a mother who was a "film buff". Johansson
began her theater training by attending and graduating from Professional Children's School in
Manhattan in 2002. She attended P.S. 41 in Greenwich Village for elementary school.
