This starts here on the 16th of April and as I find the whole subject fascinating, I've been trying to find THE BOOK, but I don't think there is one.

The closest I've come is Io e la mafia. Le verita di Giulio Andreotti which unfortunately seems to be only available in Italian, and I ain't that far yet!

Any ideas anyone?

well the relationship between the mafia and the italian politics is a huge and complicated argument, because from andreotti to berlusconi/dell'utri/mangano the step is short.
The book of "Il Divo" doesn't exist.
Maybe you could find something about that on wikipedia.
There is also a lot of material about this argument on youtube, but it is nearly all in italian
