Neapolitan guys making success over and thanks to the waves of ignorant spoiled teenagers, through musically void songs with cheesy and banal lyrics? In a country which gave birth to De André, Guccini, Battisti, Dalla, Battiato, PFM, not to mention much of the operatic masterpieces?
Not taking it too far, imho!
Italian Music was doomed the day Gigi D'Alessio was born, as far as I know!

thats funny I think it's a matter of taste I mean all Italian music is wonderful even music from Naples it has a lot of passion depending on what you are listening to for example Nino D'Angelo is just wonderful but do I prefer him over Battisti or Grignani no but it depends on my mood. Every music has a time and place and brings out emotions in each person in a different ways. As to music from Naples being for spoiled teens I wouldn't go that far though I would agree to some degree but it is also a part of who they are.
