Affari Tuoi
Grazie Chungachanga. Wanted to know about this too.
Affari Tuoi (Your Business) is an Italian game show based on the internationally-popular game show, Deal or No Deal. It is broadcast on public broadcaster Rai Uno, though it can also be seen occasionally on RAI International, RAI's international television service.
The show is currently hosted by Flavio Insinna, the "Captain of Carabinieri" in the Italian TV series Don Matteo. The show was hosted by Antonella Clerici, who hosts La Prova del Cuoco, the Italian version of Ready Steady Cook. Previously, Affari Tuoi was hosted by the former singer Pupo, and prior to him, Paolo Bonolis, who hosted the first two seasons.
Gameplay
In the Italian version, there are 20 boxes; each person holding a box is a representative of one of the 20 regions of Italy.
The highest prize is €500,000, but on some occasions, there's a special €1,000,000 or €2,000,000 prize. In addition to small money prizes, like €0.50, there are three gag prizes -- usually items like salami, a year's supply of soap, or stuffed animals like hippos and weasels. At least one person has managed to win €500,000.
The box named Pacco X (meaning mystery package) may contain anything from €0.02 to €200,000.
In Affari Tuoi, to refuse an offer, instead of saying, "No Deal!", you say, "Rifiuto l'offerta e vado avanti," meaning "I refuse the offer, and go on". To accept, you say, "Accetto l'offerta." There is no button to push. (Actually, most international versions of Deal don't use a button and cover)
In the Fall of 2006, Codacons, an Italian consumers organisation, published a list of high prize boxes ("pacchi") remaining in the current series, listing the odds of what boxes will be chosen.
The Spanish version of "Deal or no Deal", ˇAllá tú!, aired by Mediaset's Telecinco is exactly the same format as the Italian version (but there's a box for 20 province of Spain). The French version, Ŕ prendre ou ŕ laisser, is different in format, but uses a "box for each region" concept.
In Italian version, many people won big prizes, the record was set on April 2006, when a woman won €1,000,000.
