I wrote a few sentences, but I just want to make sure I wrote them correctly. I knw some accent marks are missing, but my computer is acting up.


1. Clima dela California e migliore del clima del Texas.
2. In Italia si mangia meglio di in America. (di in seems wrong, but I don't know..)
3. Le gionrate do pioggia sono migliori delle gironate di vento.
4. Nella Fiat si viaggia meglio nella di Rolls Royce.

5. Io sono stato alla casa mia. Mi sono divertitio perche avevo ero con la mia famiglia.

There is a typing error. The correct one is:
1. Il clima della California è migliore del clima del Texas.
(double l)

You wrote
"Quest'estate, io andrò al mare. Preferisco andare al mare perchè."
The translation is:
"This summer I'll go to the sea. I prefer going to see because."

Did you meant:
"Quest'estate, io andrò al mare perchè preferisco andare al mare"
"This summer, I'll go to the see because I prefer going to the see"
???

Exactly, "dela" has no meaning in Italian, only in some regional dialects.
"della" is the right word. Thanks!!

Just wanted to add that5 they don't really use "IO" a lot. So I would eliminate it in these phrases:
Questa estate (io) andro` al mare
(Io) Partiro` la settimana prossima. (Io) Portero` una bibbia e acqua
(Io) Sono stato a casa mia.

Io (I) is superfluous because you can see by the verb that you're talking about yourself, so it reads much better without it.

Keep in mind that learning to write in another language without knowing how to speak that
language is like putting the cart before the horse. The order of learning a second and
even a first language is: Understanding, Speaking, Reading and then Writing.

Once you understand, speak and read Italian you'll find writing will be so much easier. However
of course I'm not saying to not go ahead and learn writing now but it is much more important for a
beginning Italian learner to listen to Italian constantamente, then speaking will be easy and
reading and writing will follow naturally. And of course we have to use written Italian as a
guide to learning too.
