Giacomo, Sono d'accordo with kids learning five different languages at once e cosi via. E sono d'accordo with the accent
and all that. But I'm not talking about that.

Years ago some language expert got together and asked the question: Why is it that children and poor children at that can
learn a forgein language better than rich super intelligent university young adults. We're talking about the cream of the
crop rich intellegent young adults who go to the top U.S. universities. The ones that have super I.Q's. Well what they found
out was the way forgein language has been traditionally taught is the problem. When these same university adults were taught
with TPR they found that they learned even faster than children. At least at first. Forget accent. What is important is
comunication. Almost everybody has some kind of accent. Accent is something that can be improved dopo, poco a poco.

I use a combination of TPR and traditional teaching methods. I strongly recommend everybody who wants
to learn Italian to listen to Italian 24/7 or as much as possible.

I'm listen to Italian audio libri right now as we talk while others are wasting their time. In the background I've got the televison going in Spanish. LOL! Ma e vero.
http://www.liberliber.it Libri audio totalmente gratis just waiting to be downloaded into your computer.

Talking about how children learn language so fast and easy does nothing for us adults but retard our learning.

A proposito. When I went to school in Guanajuato I recorded some of my classes and have put them on CDs. I listened to these recordings over and over again a thousand times.
When people hear me speak they say I speak Spanish without an English accent. They say I speak like an university teacher. When I went to school in
Perugia I recorded my classes(put them on CDs) and have and am listing to them over and over again. Some people say I sound like somebody from Italy without an English
accent. I also do and have done a lot of reading out loud in Italian and Spanish. It's all fun for me I don't look at it as work but as play.

Sometimes it's not about learning or studying Italian but just about listening to it. Your brain is picking things up without you even knowing it is.

And don't forget to make those flash cards. I do and take them with me everywhere. Flash cards are for all levels of language learning. From simple
vocabulary words to very advanced words.
