I was also wondering about the heavenlymarinara sauce. I had to laugh when I read that because I wouldn't want to be heavenlymarinara sauce. lol |
Si, you've been saying it wrong. It's Ti amo. In Spanish Te amo.
Comes from the verb amare. Ti amo. (Tee AH-moe)not Tie amo.
amare - to love
io amo, tu ami, Lei ama, noi amiamo, voi amate, loro amano(AH-mah-no) Amare is a regular verb
and is conjugated just like parlare is conjugated. If you remember I told everybody that parlare
can be used as a model verb so you'll know how to conjugate all Italian regular a-r-e verbs.
With the verb Parlare parl is the root or stem and a-r-e is the ending.
So take off the a-r-e ending and add each needed ending to the root of the verb parlare.
Io parl - o - parlo (PARR-low) (loh) I speak
Tu parl - i - parli (PARR-lee) you speak (informal
Lei parl - a - parla (PARR-lah) You speak (formal)
noi parl - iamo - parliamo (parr-lee-AH-moe)(moh) We speak
voi parl - ate - parlate (par-LAH-teh) You plural speak(all of you speak
loro parl - ano - parlano (PARR-lah-no) They speak
(Penso che spesso sia più facile) I think that most of the time it is just easier to memorize the verb parlare than to memorize the endings.
(Pero) However if you want to memorize o, i, a, iamo, ate, ano feell free to do so. I do both.
