Default List of top 50 Italian verbs

Top 50 Italian Verbs. Put them on flash cards and memorize them.

Your homework is to write the English definition next to each Italian verb. Then send me your list back.
Put the definition in Spanish too if you want to learn Spanish also. Then eventually conjugate each verb as I have the first one.

1. andare - to go - ir - io vado, tu vai, lei va, noi andiamo, voi andate, loro vanno - (io=I, tu=you, Lei=you formal and she, lui=he, noi=we, voi=you plural, loro=they)

Very useful and interesting Villa, those are the verbs one just can't do without when speaking Italian.

We should have some sentences with each top 50 verbs.

Voglio andare a casa. I want to go home.
Molta gente ha paura di andare in aereo. Many people are afraid of flying.
A che ora apre questo negozio? What time does the store open.
Apre alle 8:00 e chiude alle 13:30. It opens at 8:00 A.M. and closes at 2:30 P.M.
Siamo arrivati a Venezia due giorni fa. We arrived in Venice two days ago.
Non ho da preoccuparmi di lei. I don't have to worry about her.

Shouldn't it be: Io voglio accendere la luce, perche no mi piace il buio?

Aprire is for opening doors and windows and what not.

Accendi e spegni la luce. Turn on and turn off the light. So the opposite of accendi is spengi.
The opposite of aprire is chiudere. Apri la porta. Open the door. Chiedi la porta. Close the door. Command forms.

The same idea exists in Spansih.

My husband went out to buy cigarettes and he never came back.

I'm not sure of my translations into English.
