Default Baby's First words in Italian not just for babies

This is a really good CD for learning Italian. Comes with a CD and transcript. Has many songs and poems. Really more for adults than babies.
Just type in Baby's First Words in Italian and do a search or you can order it at your local book store.

Two children, a girl with blonde hair and a boy with black hair, are strolling in the park.
They see many interesting things: A blue bird and a white rabbit. They watch the sun set.
It's dark now. Now it's night.

They see shinning stars and the full moon. They walk to the sea and find the harbor. They see the boats and the
lights of the city. There are many people walking around the square. The two children go to see the puppet
theater. What fun!

After the show, they have an ice-cream and walk a little bit more. Now it is very dark. It's time to return home.
They arrive home and their mother opens the door. The little girl goes to sleep in her bed. She has a beautiful
dream of boats and stars. The little boy doesn't sleep. He is not able to close his eyes.
He is thinking about the puppets in the square!

Everything comes with a translation.

Villa ... you found my soft spot! In movies I hear Italian children playing and laughing and I melt into a puddle. I'm sad to hear that the population of Italian children dwindles. My son and wife were in taly this summer and hardley ever saw children ? Anyways I ordered the Spanish and Italian version on amazon. The reviews were good also. Some years ago I had ordered Italian for children by Catherine Bruzzone (thinking if I could learn as a child ?) so I have dusted it off and I'm enjoying it once again. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Grazie Nora. Davvero e bravo.

Lunedi mamma a scuola mi mando;
Martedi dissi: "Ho sonno, non ci vo!"
Mercoledi ebbi dolor de testa;
Giovedi volli fare un po' di festa;
Venerdi la cartella non trovai;
Sabato piovve e a scuola non andai;
Domenica dissi: "Oggi a scuola voglio andare
Ma non mi vollero mandare!"

On Monday mommy sent me to school;
On Tuesday I said, "I am sleepy: "I'm not going!"
On Wednesday I had a headache;
On Thursday I wanted to have a holiday;
On Friday I couldn't find my school bag;
On Saturday it was raining and I didn't go to school:
On Sunday I said, "Today I want to go to school,
But they didn't want to send me!"

Villa, I like both cd's in Italian and Spanish, I received them today. The pronunciations are very 'pronounce' which is helpful, thank you for the tip. To me the Italian is beautiful and even the baby lullabies sound like amore. The Spanish sounds like 'Fun and cheerfulness'. I'm enjoying learning both.
