Exclamation Is this true?

Greetings
A friend of mine has told me that 25hrs/week is considered full-time? I was wondering if this is true? Also, he had mentioned that there is a mandatory 30 day vacation each year?

Thanks in advance!

Default Workings time in Italy

My answer are probably 90% correct so if somebody has a better respone he/she is welcome:
Well the 25 hr /week is not considered full time ( even though I do no think some government employees ever reach that much ... their salary is not the best ) - There are some jobs that might only require 25 hours ( Maybe a teacher just teaching in the morning ) but the normal is 36 or 40 hours.

About the vacation time it is true: if you are a factory worker or an emploee there is a mendatory 30 days of vacation( I did not think there is the same law for directors / managers etc )

According to this paper: http://www.sharedprosperity.org/bp189.html
the full time work week in Italy is 38 hours and vacation time is required to be 20 days plus holidays (for a total of 32).

If I recall correctly, most of that vacation time is taken in early August, when many businesses close their doors for a couple weeks.

Someone correct me if I am mistaken!

This generally applies, however, things have changed over the years in that some companies continue to work during August. You will find that the week around the 15th August is when most companies are closed.
