Well that 3 months has flown.

I am on the last week of the course this week and I am applying for work in Ireland for the summer and I am follwing a few leads in Italy as well. So for those in Italy, iwill let you know if I am in town.

I am going to start packing boxes this week and rewrite my CV.

I have bought an italian grammar book and some dictionaries, now all I need is to be disciplined and start learning my stuff.

Let me tell you my Inglese/Italiano dictionary was very inadequate for official Italian paperwork!

Good Evening Everyone

To get my foot in the door with TEFL teaching I have been looking for a Summer Camp job, mainly to get some expereince with primary school children.

I have just been told to buy my plane ticket as I start Monday morning for two weeks (after that I go to Rome to meet the husband fopr our research trip to Rome and Naples).

Three weeks in Italy, I want to scream!!!!!!

Good scream...or bad scream? Is it driving you crazy...or are you overwhelmed with joy? Also please tell us all about how its been over there, I would like to hear as much as possible because I have 17 days left till I am moving there.

It is not alot of money even for teaching at summer camp standards, but I think that it allow me to gain exeperience, make contacts, get help with the CV so I am looking at the bigger picture.

The great thing is that the weekends are our own (with free board!) and there is a pool at the Agriturismo, so this sun starved Aussie is set.

What I might do is update this thred evey day or so and share my adventures of teaching, what the kids are like etc. It will be good for me as part of teaching is reflecting on how it went and what can be improved etc. And of course report back on what I did on the weekend (intersting villages etc).

So if you are in Umbria adn all the locals have an Australian accent, you know who to blame!!!

Iceman, we may get to cross paths. Have you any definte plans yet? You could me, my husband and Zidanie in Naples!

I do not have an exact plan, but I do have a general one. I will be landing in Rome then making my way south to Sicily to meet up with some family, then by next summer my aunt from here (New Jersey) will be going for vacation in Sicily and I will meet her there. So I will be in Sicily for awhile. After that I'm not sure what I will do, but I am sure I will know what to do by then. I might go to Spain with my cousin, continue traveling through Italy, or join the military. It really depends on what the situation will be by then.

What city or town are you in? You mentioned Umbria so I'm sure it is something in the north. Good to hear you will keep us updated, make sure to let me know details about weather, wine, food, living conditions, etc...I'm dying to know anything and everything, 17 days to go, I feel like I will drop dead from anticipation.
