I wish that whoever keeps on putting advertisements for blackberries and ipods on the site would stop! I think that the user's name is Pivik. It's getting really annoying! We're not here to buy blackberries and ipods! We are here to learn about Italy.

Unfortunately spam is main problem - I erase spam every day and I am sure some of the other moderators do that as well. After I remove the spam we also ban the user but it already too late. The only way to control it better is to do a manual review of subscriber but that will probably take more time and discourage many.

Paolo, yes, I'm deleting spam threads constantly, every time I log in there is at least one, and I also Permaban the user.
Just a minute before this post I've banned another.

Also, if in the banned users log you see funny ban reasons, it's because when I ban them I also write something funny for them to see as Ban reason

I'm doing what I can, only rarely I've erased threads that were there from more than a couple of hours.
Also, the IPs of the users are always different.


To everyone, when you see a spam thread, please Report the post, we moderators will receive it and we'll be able to delete it sooner.
The Report button, in case some don't know, is the yellow triangle high on the right of every message.

Please do use the report button - I log on and delete spam many mornings, but don't always log on later, but I do check my email (reported posts are emailed to the moderators) - if a post is reported I, Paolo or Zidanie will log on and delete it.
