Lightbulb Food related idea

Maybe i'm having trouble finding it, but what about a section that lists information about what is needed to make foods and such. Things like pasta makers, pizelle makers, espresso makers. This is where we can find information on the most recommended machines, or explain what we think of them, listing problems and solutions, etc. ... also we can list the best places to purchase them. Maybe even information on how to use them. What does everyone think about this?

I came up with this idea because i've been recently searching for a pizelle and pasta maker, but wasnt sure where to find them online or what is a good one to get. I of course got help on the forums by danno, jean and esther (sorry if i left anyone out), but i thought a section would be helpful so you dont have to wait on replies.

Maybe an Amazon.com type format or something, just a thought

Hi Joe
There is a section where I taste food ( that i need to update ) - http://my.lifeinitaly.com/food/
You have anyway an EXCELLENT idea... I will add on the new website a section about this machines etc etc -
I also could get a deal with a company and try to sell a good espresso maker for a discounted price to life in Italy viewer - However I must admit I still use the old Bialetti stile moca - Anyway I will add a section on several machines - I use for example one to mix flower and water to make bread and pizza -
I use a great Pizza stone etc etc

I also use the old Bialetti Stove top. I love it and have tried many of the new pressure driven machines but have had no success. I figured this was a good example of what we could talk about in a new section.

Default bialetti rules

I didn't know about the bialetti stove top until i lived with my mother in law in ostia. she has all sizes. neither did i know about Lavazza, which she would always buy at "Dico" around the corner (discount grocery). So I'm hooked. I found fairly good prices at La Prima online, for just about everything mentioned above.

Yes i also have the stove tops in all sizes. Although i really only use the 4 shot. I'm trying to cut down to 1 shot in the morning. For the longest time i thought i was only having one shot, until i discovered that the espresso cups here are too big and hold 2 shots.

Paolo, I guess you haven't done this yet? At least I can't find it on the Food section.
