I know that, at least here in Europe, before giving a name to a product those who produce them make a market research to avoid this problem.
Ad example Fiat Ritmo was called in another way in Spain because ritmo there means menstruation
Are they so careless in US not to consider what a name mean in other places? I think it's done on purpose!

Zidanie, most of tjhose products are from European countries, only a few from the U.S. and yes the U.S. products are named on purpose.

I had a Fiat Ritmo once, if they had kept the same name in Spain it would have reflected better the performance of the car !

not only in US but i think its everywhere, marketers will do just about anything to market their products...but i think its the german that always has crazy advertisements...

in italy , i pretty much like the 'nouvo bolt' advertisements, Zidanie must know this adverts where the lady smell the men undies..!
