An Italian, an American, a German and an Englishman along with others, were in a sinking boat that had to be lightened for it to continue to float.

The Englishman got up and said “God save the Queen!” and he jumped overboard.

The American rose and said “For God and country!” and he too jumped into the water.

The German got up and said “Long live Germany!” and he threw the Italian overboard
