Default Gama bama

O’Bama goes to the land of his ancestors and addresses a large group of Kenyans.

Every time he made a statement through an interpreter the crowd responded with a thunderous, “GAMA BAMA!!”

After the speech, his host took him to his ranch to show him his prize bull.

As they entered the pasture, his host said, “Be careful not to step in the Gama Bama.”

G.W. Bush goes to Africa and addresses a large group of Kenyans.

Every time he made a statement through an interpreter the crowd responded with a thunderous, “Bush GAMA!!”

After the speech, his host took him to his ranch to show him his prize bull.

As they entered the pasture, his host said, “Be careful not to step in the Gama Bush.”

Now that's funny!!!

Well I intended the Gama bama to be just a joke, not a political statement, Villa. Now that Obama is in power he should expect some jokes...they come with the job.

Paolo to me a joke is not something very close to "Obama is shit".

Zidanie : Actually the joke was BS ( Bull Shit ) - The closer translation would be che stupidaggine ( che cazzata ) -
In pratica quando lui parla la folla dice Gama Bama che in seguito si capisce che vuole dire 'che Cazzata'.
I did interpret it as just a joke. Clinton had to take in a lot worse than this and I approve of all Clinton had done.

Dan - fair enough, it doesn't translate that well, but if you're put up on a pedestal (as Mr. Obama has been by some) then you have to expect that some people will try to knock you off it. Hopefully he'll be better for the US and the world in general, but he's not the solution to all the world's problems - we are.

I am a person who proudly voted for Obama and have faith that he'll be a better President. I personaly don't find the joke funny, but if we tell people they can't make an Obama joke then we are taking away the freedom of speech that so many of our ancestors (In several cultures) fought for.

I rather have the anti-Obama people make jokes then try to come up with a plan to kill the guy.

Also for some stupid reason there are Bush fans. It's not fair for us to make jokes about him and then they can't make jokes about Obama.

I voted for Obama too but for some reason I found the joke funny. I thought we needed a change anyway and a change included letting the other side give his / her opinion. i am of the opinion that i have been wrong before and i will be wrong in the future so I welcome other people opinions.

I agree wth letting the other side stating his or her opinion.

I just happened to not find that joke funny. It has to do with my personal style. I saw a joke on youtube about Obama's voter that I thought was kind of funny and I happened to be one of his voters.

I guess it also depends on how the joke is done. Well for me anyway. I tend to like British humor because they don't have a problem making fun of themselves.
