I saw this a while ago, and even sent them an email telling them how Italians might find their name a bit funny. Here is their explanation of the name:
"The Pompino Restaurant has basically two elements: POM represents the English influence while PINO makes up the Filipino element."

There's a Spanish ristorante a few doors from our house in Milano, and as much as I like Spanish food, I heard that it's not very good and very expensive. They weren't open for very long when someone (NOT ME!) did this wonderful review of the the place:
Strangely enough, they left it like that for almost a year, and then finally turned the planters around. They're still in business, but I don't think I will be going there! I can cook Spanish food quite well, thank you.
