I thought by adding an evil twist to the riddle and talking about irrelevant stuff like his clothes it would be harder!!!!!

Nouran,
The clothing did throw me. In the end I think it was the "unopened" that pointed me in the right direction. I kept thinking how something that wasn't opened could be the cause of death... and for some reason "parachute" popped into my head.

Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer
drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely
unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent,
how could he have survived the fall?

the window was opaque so the guy who cleans windows must have been there with his elevator to clean it and that's where the depressed Brad jumped,

Brad IS a window cleaner and he was looking INTO the building through a dirty window he was supposed to be cleaning. When he slid open the window he jumped from the outside to the inside of the building?
