I always voted Republican, but didn't really like McCain; I was sorry I voted for George Bush, not based on anything other than that I believe in the 9/11 Conspiracy. That really turned my thinking around. It's this way; for all of you that think Obama is the way to go only belies your lack of information on this forum. He wants to raise the taxes here 50% folks. He also wants to spend more government money on pet projects, which he has been doing more in the Senate than any other US Senator, and he has only been a senator for 2 years. Before that, he was a community organizer, organizing people towards his politics, which is okay,this is a free country, sort of. He has no experience whatsoever in government. But the main thing is he wants to take from the rich and give to the poor....hmm...I'm hearing people on this website that are for that. You must not be American. All people come here to get rich, get it?? You want to come to America and be taxed like you are where you live now? I didn't think so. I am pro big business, but I am also for regulations when they get too big, which no one wants to do, democrat or republican.. that's where everybody can dip in and get their big $$bucks$$ from. Who was yelling about money? Obama is willing to spend more than anyone. But you won't hear about that. You also won't hear about his mentor Saul Alinsky. I also revile the thought that Obama would be voted in because of his color. Please spare me here. There are big fat racists here with black skin as well as the white people, and all in between, asian and hispanics. I don't want to hear about that!! I also don't want to hear any special interest liberals. The Republicans might be over religious and over zealous, but the bottom line is they want to protect the freedom here, the freedom to make those big bucks, the freedom to stand up for truth. This is a relatively young country, and it was founded first by people who came here to escape the brutality of the Catholic church. Oh yeah, in the big picture we ravaged the Indians, stole their gold and put them on reservations and we enslaved the black man. This is the NATURE OF MAN, people. In Europe and here. You can't escape that. But one thing America has that no one else doesn't : FREEDOM and a FAIR SHAKE. Fair shake means handshake that is fair. A man's word used to be his oath. The old American way is still alive here in America. But many, such AS OBAMA want to liberalize it and suffocate it so that we will become a global country, without freedom, without the ability to have our own businesses. He wants to spread it all around, much like communist and socialist countries. I wish that you could see this through my eyes. It is a very, very sad thing, the prospect of having him for President. The world hates America... but... hey, wait a minute here.... why, ohh why is it that everyone wants to move here? Must be, uh, must be because it's the greatest place in the world. That cannot be denied.
And I love Italy too. My husband is from Rome. His father, my father-in-law, Aurelio Carminati, was imprisoned for 10 years because he wouldn't join the Fascist army. He remembers stealing bread for two families before he got arrested. That was in downtown Rome. There is much to be said for freedom, folks.

Micio, spare us. "Abort your Rights" Vote Republican! That should be the slogan of the Republican party! And that goes double for women voting for McCain. Women are voting for less money than men, giving up their right to abortion if raped or even if they choose not continue a pregnancy for health reasons. The republicans want to take birth control pills away from women, they are against universal health care. The Republicans want to take rights away from women bottom line and all Americans for that fact. I can't believe women like Palin siding with that or any other women wanting that fate. Big Business means the poor working for the rich, no middle class, get a clue! I worked for a big insurance corporation, the first thing they do is take your rights away, the second thing they do is teach you how to manipulate people into buying their crapy products they also make you think you are helping people by scamming them into buying life insurance that isn't worth a crap, yes this is a free country and yes we are free to get rich by hurting others in the process, I don't like big business and especially the company I worked for, I won't mention their name but let's just say I will never support the Rock again!

Obama has at least as much experience as Dubbya (George W. Bush) had when he was first elected. And Obama has a far higher intelligence quotient! Palin has almost zero experience. She is strident and a huge liar. She is also still currently involved in the "Troopergate" investigation. McCain is a fortune hunter (divorced his first wife who waited faithfully for him while he was a POW because she was in a bad car accident and wasn't so pretty any more) in order to marry the younger, prettier and MUCH richer wife he has now. What a jerk! He is suddenly a born-again Christian after never having much to do with religion because he wants to pander to the fundamentalist Christian crowd. His Naval Academy classmates say that he has a reputation for being extremely prone to fly off the handle. Do we want to give this guy the power to set off a nuclear explosion??
I'll take Obama over McCain any day.

i can understaqnd you're being pissed off if you work for an insurance company; our newspaper offices are in the Aetna building.. and i can't even afford life insurance. But you're not addressing what I posted. so i don't have time. I am also very much against abortion, having had one myself years ago. But God forbid. no one wants to hear about reality. they just want to screw like rabbits and throw caution to the wind. who cares about humanity, right Giovanna? Obama wants to kill 'em even if they're born alive, or didn't you hear that? Just the facts, ma'am. And careful there with those accusations. Sarah Palin's just a normal human being; I know she's almost superhuman, but she's not. All politicians have issues. we're just trying to figure out who best fits the American presidential position. Obama doesn't and God forbid Biden. Why is it men and women hate Sarah Palin -because she's beautiful and smart. She intimidates everybody; a lionheart with a kitten's body. OH the democrats hate that.

I am not for abortiion, but I don't believe I have the right to take that right from someone else. But I guess it's ok for the republicans to kill innocent Iraq children, that is different and our god given right, because freedom isn't free.
