Default Is this true

There was an article on a Dutch news page that Berlusconi isn't allowing any forign food in Italy and that Sicilian food isn't allowed on the mainland because he thinks forign food is a threat to the Italian culture. Is this true? The reason I ask is because it sounds so odd even for Berlusconi. I wasn't aware that in the year 2009 that forign food would be a threat to a culture.

I hadn't heard that - Lucca has banned any new non-Italian restaurants - see:-

maybe it's the foreign press exaggerating.

Now that article makes more sense to me. I can't really say I agree with it, but it makes more sense.

I guess the forign press was exaggerating it.
