just yesterday I read that a researcher named "Giam Polo Goliani" (not sure about the spelling) has predicted an Earthquake in Italy and sent messages online telling people of his predictions that he based on some vibrations in the Earth, the officials denied it but then an earthquake did happen resulting in the death of more than 100 people (100 is the official number but people say it's 300+)
so I was wondering, what do yo guys know about the subject???

Giampaolo Guiliani did issue a warning of an earthquake on March 29 and on April 6th the earthquake happened in L'Aquila. Here's a link to an article from the BBC regarding his prediction and the official response:

We are few billion people on this planet. For each natural calamity it seems that there were always several people who predicted it.

that's a good point paolo but I think that since human lives are involved the predictions should at least be studied and investigated while of course calming down the masses.

I really do not have any data about this but I think everyday there are thousands or more prediction of disasters or terrorist alerts or warning about food poisoning etc etc and I think it is physically impossible to study them all. I have no real data about this so mine is only a speculation
