Well well well. Just today I was talking to this lady that said
her American friend lived in Italy for a year. She worked for G.E. in Italy.
This lady said Italians aren't friendly to Americans and or don't
like Americans and she never learned Italian. Typical American.
Had to defend Italians and say it wasn't like that etc. etc.

Why is it that Italians are friendly to me and I learned Italian and
other Americans or most Americans can't or won't. That's a retorical question a proposito.
Some of you just can't handle the truth. LOL!

I think you are probably an exception to the rule Villa. I had a female army friend here who took herself off base and just enjoyed herself, got to grips with the language, toured the country, but she was also an exception. The majority just can't be bothered.
