Question Looking for Love in Italy

Looking for Love in Italy

With more women 40-plus looking for a relationship, it's a jungle out there.
Psychologists travel and survival guide suggests a trip to Italy.
Chances are, the dating world and its rules have changed since you were 18. In the new reality, you might have to get up the nerve to call a guy for a second date, attend a singles' event or try your luck at online dating. In other words, you can't just wait for men to flock around -- you need to go out and look for them. Psychologists are now recommending travel as a solution and owner founder of Perfect Partners and coauthor of a book called Laws of the Jungle: Dating for Women Over 40 (WAM Publishing, 2007) provides a new survival guide for women.

Fewer fish in the sea… not in Italy

If you're a woman looking for love and it feels like the pickings are a lot slimmer now than when you were 25, you're right. There are simply fewer single men to choose from as you get older. For example, between the ages of 25 and 29 there are 10 available single men for every eight single women, but by the time we are between 60 to 69 years of age there are 25 single women competing for every 10 single men.

And it's not just that men generally die earlier than women do. Many newly single men do remarry -- but often, they hook up with women who are much younger than themselves. This means that women -- who tend to look for men within a few years of their own age -- are fishing in a much smaller pond and are now heading to Italy to find there new catch of the day called “Romeo”.

Come on now… do you honestly believe that people actually fall in love while travelling in foreign country?

Waiting for you in Italy? It could very well be that you find a single sexy woman on your vacation who is also attracted to you.

Remember you can only have one! lol

I'm sure that true love happens while you are on vacation. Some people are lucky enough not to meet a psycho.

I was lucky enough not to meet a psycho on the internet. I didn't meet my husband on a dating site or a message board for singles. I never felt right about doing that. I met him on a normal message board and he wasn't single at the time. His signature caught my eye because he had a signature that said "click here to see the most beautiful woman in the world". I thought it was sweet of him and I was upset that I couldn't find a guy like that. Luckily the woman turned out to be a cheating "B" and I eventually wound up dating him and eventually marrying him.

If that is possiable then eventually falling in love with someone you meet on vacation is possiable as well.

I met my wife in London when she was "travelling in foreign country" on my 18th birthday - 30 years ago and we're still happy now in Italy all these years later. Frank, don't be such a cynic!

Many people believe holiday romances fail to outlast a suntan.

Looking for Love in Italy

One Psychologist recommend a depressed client take a trip too Italy. The Psychologist convinced the unmarried client looking for Love that she escapes from her own environment. The Psychologist believed her chances of success for Love would be much greater in a romantic environment “Italy”.

Client Success Story “the nut cracker”

I had five days left of the holiday in a small southern town of Italy called “Belmonte”. (The beautiful world). Every morning, I would go to the local coffee bar but some of the Italian women living in this small town thought I was strange for entering a predominately male dominated coffee bar. Inside an Italian villager while drinking his espresso and selling chestnuts suggested I attend a local festival.
At the holly festival, we were all waiting in line to select food from a gorgeous presentation table. Then I saw him “Roberto” (the bricklayer), he offered to crack open a hot chestnut which I had never tasted, in doing so, the chestnut shell flew into my bra. It penetrated my heart, as Roberto apologetically with his stone carved hands reached down into my chest to remove the shell. “It was love at first sight” It sounds nuts but I saw him every day and by the time I got on the plane to come home I knew I wanted to be with him always.
After we both did a few more trips, we married in the same Church of the September festival in Belmonte. One year later we celebrated our first anniversary and a day after I went into the hospital to have our baby boy." Caesarea” I nick named him “Chester”

That sounds a little far fetch to me. Why would a psycologist randmoly recomend Italy rather than just suggesting a new enviroment change for a little while?

Yes, I believe people can fall in love while on vacation or meeting someone who is on vacation, but that story just sounds made up.
