True. However he had plenty to say about it before. LOL! Let's see what he says now.

Ok I'll have to search that old thread, I don't know why but I have forgotten it.
Maybe it was from the time when every thread became a war field and we all shouted out loud I've erased that from my memory

Red face Re: Bulllets are flying off the shelves in the U.S. This is shear madness!!

The number of new guns rises by about 4.5 million every year. There are 250+ million privately-owned firearms in the United States.

I was just talking about all this madness last night with a friend. He said that soon there might be food
shortages in California and that all these gun nuts would be coming out of the woodworks. There could be
mass migration from California to other states and the gun nuts would be coming out of the wood works
there too. Think about it. California has some 38 million people. What would we do without food and
gas etc. etc. We even have a gun nut as a governor. LOL!

Looks like Italys Beretta does very well selling guns in the U.S. they have a factory here....ACCOKEEK, MD – -(AmmoLand.com)- Beretta U.S.A. Corp. today announced outstanding June results.

“We are extremely pleased by our commercial pistol market sales”, said Gary Ramey, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, “June sales are up 219% compared to last year. All of our pistol families are performing very well, with the Px4 Storm family up an amazing 451%. Our Cx4 Storm Carbine is also doing extremely well, up 1249% compared to last year”.

Zidanie5, well said (about absurde of some US laws). I cannot agree more. And I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who sees it.

No I am not being sarcastic. I believe firmly what I said. If the law abiding know how to use a gun for self defense purposes then our communities would be safer. That's why the American founding fathers embraced the idea of a well regulated militia which was designed to protect the country from foreign invasion as well as domestic issues. Think about it, from which bank would a criminal rather steal, a bank where the tellers all carry weapons for self defense or a bank that has a sign on its front door which reads: "NO GUNS ALLOWED" The answer seems obvious to me.

LOLROTF!!!! I told you so!!!

Now let's say everybody is armed to the teeth with guns. Now you're out some place in public. Two people get
into an argument and start to fight but now instead of using fists out come the guns. Bullets start flying
everywhere hitting little children and everybody. Now your on the freeway and somebody cuts you off and you
flip them the middle finger, then they start shooting at you.

A friend of mine was a bouncer in a rowdy night club. He had to take down and out the door a drunk
out of control off duty cop. When they got outside the drunk out of control off duty cop who was in
the wrong pulled his gun on him. If this is with a cop who is suppose to be responsible just imagine the ordinary
drunk citizen.

One night you think you hear a prowler downstairs. You take out your gun and go downstairs and you see a shadowy
figure in the dark. You start shooting. When you turn on the light you see your dead son on the floor who came
home late after a night out. This happens a lot.

Your son or daughter find your gun in your desk. They start fooling around with the gun and shoot and kill each other.
This happens a lot too.

Let's say your gun nut neighbor across the street is armed to the teeth with automatic machine guns. He's just waiting for somebody
to break into his house. Infatti he hopes somebody tries to break into his house. One night somebody does or he thinks
somebody is breaking into his house. He starts spraying machine gun fire which just happens to be in the direction of your
house. Those high powered bullets have the power to travel very far and through everything. When the police come to investigate
they find half your family dead from all that high powered machine gun bullets that
went the short distance into your house.

The above scenarios are not all that common and there are stats to prove it. In the USA violent crime is lower in states where people are allowed to carry guns concealed on their person. Also, less than 1% of all those who have the right to carry had their permit revoked due to criminal or irresponsible behavior. If you look at the countries such as Mexico and Estonia that have some of the highest rates of crime in the world, you will see that they have very limited gun ownership and very strict gun laws. The fact is that no matter what the laws are, the bad guys are always going to get their guns! Take a country like Switzerland. The Swiss are armed at a rate that is similar to the rate here in the USA... yet, the Swiss have one of the lowest murder and crime rates in the world.

Same with Canada. So why does the U.S. have such a high murder rate if the Swiss are armed just as much but have a low murder rate?

A proposito to the Swiss. Was in Switzerland this past July. Those Swiss smoke too freakin much. Like going back in time to the
50's or 60's in the U.S. when smoking was so commmon. It seems they all smoke.
I went into a Swiss restuarant and the waiter asked me if I wanted smoking or chain smoking. LOL It's no joke though they really
do smoke too much. If the guns don't kill them then the smoke will. Think of the second hand smoke their children are getting.
