Il duce Berlusconi: As an owner of 90% of TV stations, radio, graphic media and advertising, Berlusconi is the facist "czar"
of the Italian media. Under his government, writers' have been placed in jail, editors fired and TV programs
taken off the air... all for having criticized him. The Italian police raid newspaper offices and reporters'
homes,
doing so in the name of fighting terrorism.

Berlusconi is not America's best friend," said a professor from Rome. "He's George Bush's best friend -- and that's not the same thing."

In an interview published by the Spectator, Italy's prime minister Berlusconi appeared to defend the actions of his country's fascist dictator, Benito Mussolini.

"Mussolini never killed anyone," the magazine quoted him saying.

"Mussolini sent people on holiday to confine them [banishment to small islands such as Ponza and Maddalena which are now plush resorts]."

Italy's fascist leader ordered the brutal 1935-36 occupation of Ethiopia where 100's of thousands were slaughtered, led Italy into the second
world war and headed a Nazi puppet government which rounded up and dispatched Italian Jews to Hitler's concentration camps. Ultimately
over 500,000 people died because of the facist monster Mussolini that Burlusconi admires.

Theo, the comparison is perfectly right, and Silvio really is a dictatorial guy, but I'm on the left wing since I was born and having had to spend all of my adolescence with his guvernments, I really don't want to think no more about his filthy deeds, his crimes, and his victories in the court.

He's 72 now, that means I won't have to stand him for too long.

BEN DETTO ! Wise Zidanie ! Berlusconi's much more evil than Mussolini: Mussolini - perhaps by mistake - built up hospitals, schools, facilities for poor people, etc. Berlusconi only does things for himself and advertise them as if they were for the nation...
