My heart goes out to the families of the Italian paratroopers killed in Kabul on Thursday. I was at Rome Airport last Sunday and they were there too, flying back to Afghanistan after having taken leave with their loved ones.

My sincere condolences to all.

This past summer I was talking to some Italian citizens in Vicenza and we were comparing Bush to Berlusconi. They said at least Berlusconi wasn't getting Italian soldiers killed in needless useless wars.

Exactly. I don't know, it really sort of hit me yesterday. I was sitting amongst them last Sunday, and then 6 don't come back. I can still see them hugging their wives and children. What a waste, such a waste of life (for all nations involved).

Is the U.S. government clueless or what! The Russians were ruthless in their war against Afghanistan and they still couldn't win.
The U.S. has a few more months and then the American people are going too wise up and all be against the war in Afghanistan. Of
course in the meantime there are a few people that are making a ton of money of these worthless wars.
