Does anyone have any information or recall of this name from Bari? Sam was my grandfather and Im looking for anything possible about him

of medieval streets and dazzling white houses, and the Citta Nuova, the modern city, with wide
grid like boulevards. The tortuous alleyways of the Morrish-style old city
protected the inhabitants from the wind and from invaders.
