My grandfather was put in an orphanage after the death of his parents in an accident. He was a child somewhere between 5-10 years old. He entered the orphanage using his own name Goffredo Aquilino. What I am trying to track down is the names of his parents. He was born November 4, 1890

I looked at the Italian white pages and it showed only 10 listings for the name Aquilino in Campania. There were three listings in Salerno, and one each for Auletta, Casavatore, Cava de' Tirreni, Cesinali, Laura, Morcone, and Napoli. Your grandfather's family might have come from somewhere else, but there is a chance his family was from one of these towns. You might try contacting the Ufficio dello Stato Civile in those places and see if they have your grandfather's birth record.
