As many of you know I am applying for dual citizenship via my blood right to do so.
I have met with my local consulate, gathered all the paper work, translated what was needed, and now have apostille's on everything.
I have called and left a message for the signore at the consulate and I await his phone call.
Does anybody now what happens next?
I assume I go in with all my paperwork and start the actual application process, but I hear tell of an "interview" that can sometimes be bad.
Is there an actual application form that needs to be filled out?
In an attempt to make it as smooth as possible I would like to get this filled out before I go in with my paperwork.
Is the form I need any one of these?
Consulate General of Italy in Boston ?
I can't quite make out what those are for.
I also found the attached document...is that official? current? If so, can someone translate it for me so I know what to put in the answer fields?
Also, any body have any idea how long this takes? What are the chances I'll be an official Italian by my trip in ottobre?
I'm both excited and nervous about the next step(s?)...I want it to go as smoothly as possible so I want to be prepared for anything.
Grazie !
Mike
