Default Re: Greetings from Paris, France

I'll have to answer in another post, but I can guess some words
passione=passion
attenzione=attention (perhaps)
dedicata=dedication
partecipanti=participation
esperienza= well, it sounds like the car "speranza" (but I think I spelled it wrong )oh wait, may be experience
so I think he is saying something like thank you for sharing your passion and dedicated attention with all participants.
the second line (looked most of it up):and the best experience for all.
did he really tell you that?
but still you haven't told me whether I got it right the first time,
also I wanted to ask you, I have that teach your self italian book with a small dictionary at the end, and I want to buy a real dictionary but I don't really know which should I buy, do you (or anyone) have a certain name for me that I should check out???
grazie villa, let's see if you understand this "sprachst du deutsch?" I did German during my last year of primary education and during my preparatory education, even though am a little (ok a lot) rusty I just couldn't think of any other language that I'd know about and you wouldn't BTW I did some french in primary school, again rusty

Complimenti Nouran!

There are several if not many good Italian/English bilingual dictionaries that you can find at
any large book stores such as Borders and Barnes and Nobles. You really should have two or three.
Have one small one you can always carry with you and then one large one to keep at home plus one
medium size dictionary. The print should be big enough to read easily ad hopefully have phonectic
pronunciation. A good little bilingual Italian to English phrase book is a must have
learning device anche.(also)

If you buy a book every other week or one a month you'll have a good collection presto. The more books
to learn Italian you have the better. Try the used bookstores anche. That Teach Yourself Italian
book is good and naturalmente I have it.

How about this one?

Default I leave tomorrow for Switzerland

Afer an exciting week and 800+ photos in France vado domani a Zurich, Switzerland.
Only 103 euros on the train from Paris to Switzerland. Molto economico. Non e vero?
Parto Parigi at 12:00 noon e arrivo Zurich, Switzerland at 5:00 P.M. Non e un male affare.

Default Greetings from Zurich, Switzerland

The trip on the train from Paris to Switzerland was almost to short. LOL! The train never went that fast either.

2 days here in Switzerland and it's on to Milano, Verona, Vicenza, Padova, Trento e cosi via. Non vedo l'ora!

Default They speak 4 languages in Switzerland

So this Swiss guy visiting Sydney, Australia, pulls up at a bus stop where two locals are waiting. "Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he asks.

The two Aussies just stare at him.

"Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?" he tries.

The two continue to stare.

"Parlare Italiano?"

No response.

"Hablan ustedes Espanol?"

Still nothing.

The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted. The first Aussie turns to the second and says, "Y'know, maybe we should learn a foreign language."

"Why?" says the other. "That guy knew four languages, and it didn't do him any good."
