I was thinking of one of my Favorite Italian Singers recently, his name is Carlo Buti. I really don’t hear much about him although I had heard he was as famous as Frank Sinatra in Italy at one time. He sings such songs as “Non Ti Scordar Di Me”, “Mattinata”, “Cosa Fa La Famiglia Brambilla”, “Firenze” etc.. Some good old stuff! I am wondering if anyone else has heard or likes Carlo Buti as much as I.

I know him, and I appreciate his songs, though it's not exactly my genre.
He made some wonderful stornello and arias, and I think he was needed at the time he was active, becasue all other singers tended much more to operatic music, whether in structure or in attitude, while Buti gave a prototype of popular singer.

If you go to youtube and type "Carlo Buti" in the search box, you will see over 100 of his songs posted. Also, impassioned comments left by dozens of the singer's fans. Recently, Timaclub of Rome Italy launched nine CDs of this golden voiced singer. There is also an Australian label that has recently produced two Buti CDs.
