Ciao Folks! Villa qui in Italia!

The other night I went to this Festa Delle Rane out in the middle of the country side 15 miles outside of Vicenza. It's a kind
of a carnival with dancing, rides etc. etc. Frog Fiesta. They serve frogs everyway you can think of. It goes on for 6 days.
They serve the whole frog meno la testa. Then there's rice with frogs and polenta. Do you know what polenta is.
It's a kind of thick corn tortilla. LOL!
They had a big dance in the open air with all this great music. Pop music, folkloric music. All in Italian. Different live bands every night.
This really nice folkoric music that I really like. (If you think you might like Italy you have no idea!) Will buy some CDs in town hopefully. Hundreds and
hundreds of people and I was the only English speaking American there!
Festa delle Rane a Grossa di Gazzo (PD) : Il Nostro Paese, la Nostra Storia...
Got over 2,000 pictures! I listen to Italian radio constantamente! What a variety of Italian music. You have no idea.
Then there is a lot of talk radio all in Italian. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I really do feel sorry for all of you who are not here in Italy.
If you thought you would like Italy but have never been here you really have no idea. People are friendly. Have made many friends
with phone number and e-mail addresses.
Did I mention the vino! LOL! You can buy it but everybody was giving it to me for free. When people saw I spoke Italian I was in!
Oh, they had a big firewoks show at 12:00 midnight. About as big a fireworks show as I've ever seen. Out in the country there's no lights other than the stars.
There's some kind of festa every week. Next week it's Festa del Formaggio.
